Jaquets, no ties required

SIMON and Caroline Jaquet, performing together and in sequence with children Sally and William, brought a musical family dimension to 'The Craic Where the Light Gets In' at St John's Edinburgh on 8th August 2012.

Their harmonised acoustic set combined traditional and self-penned songs, and included 'Rambling Man' and a piece by folk legend Ralph McTell.

Actually, Simon is a bit of a legend himself, in a quiet sort of way. He was drummer with Caedmon. Lins Honeyman writes: "Back in 1978, this Edinburgh-based Christian folk rock outfit recorded an album to mark the end of six years of making music together. Only 500 copies were pressed and, over the years, the eponymous release gained cult status resulting in original copies fetching hundreds of pounds by collectors."

So those attending the show at this year's Festival of Spirituality and Peace definitely got a bargain.
