Slavery in today's Scotland?

CAMPAIGNERS, police and public authorities will engage in conversation tonight over the nature and extend of what amounts to slavery in modern Scotland.

Sex trafficking, the exploitation of migrant labour, domestic servitude are only a few examples of the human degradation that exist under that label today, they will argue.

The public conversation in the hall at St John's Church at 6pm tonight (Weds 7th August), part of Just Festival in Edinburgh, will ask how human exploitation can be tackled from a legal, social and political perspective. Tickets are £5 from the cash box office outside the venue.
